European Chafer Beetles

The European Chafer Beetle is an invasive pest causing serious lawn damage across the Lower Mainland. Its larvae (grubs) live in the soil and feed on grass roots, weakening your lawn and making it easy to pull up.The damage often gets worse when raccoons and other animals dig up your lawn to eat the grubs, leaving large areas of torn or flipped turf overnight.

The best time for treatment is from April to mid-June, when the grubs are most vulnerable. At Premier Landscaping, we offer an effective chafer beetle control program with a 90 – 95% success rate, and you can get a quote within 24 hours.

Japanese beetles

The Japanese beetle is another invasive pest that can damage lawns, trees, and plants. Adults feed on leaves and flowers, while grubs live in the soil and attack grass roots, weakening your lawn. Activity increases from June onward, especially in warmer weather, and damage can happen quickly.

At Premier Landscaping, we take a proactive approach with regular monitoring, early detection, and targeted treatments. We also strengthen your lawn through proper care, helping protect your landscape while minimizing chemical use.
